Day 8 - Friday, August 27th 2010

I LOVE FRIDAYS! Ballroom dance was literally 15 minutes long today because learned the easiest dance known to mankind - the Alley Cat. I also got myself a partner for when we start couple dancing on Wednesday. His name is Ben and he likes soccer and showing up to the wrong class (I met him in FYE). By the way, I was the one that asked him, because I am fearless and outgoing (not). Anyway, the only thing that might be funny is that he's short, like I'm talking my height short. 5'5” isn't bad for a girl, but for a guy? Yeaaaah... It's cool though, I just hope he can dance a little. I had a quiz in Calc which I know was not my best because we only had 10 minutes to do the stupid thing. Hopefully, I did better than I think I did. Then, in Chem, while explaining significant figures, Dr. Bader pick out two boys and I to use our names as if we were measuring 5mL of water with different tools. I got the last and most exact one, and was really surprised when he pointed at me and asked my name (he then proceeded to ask for a spelling and wrote it on the chalkboard). Midway through me spelling it, he said “Wow, this is hard!” Thanks, mom and dad. I had lunch with my theater friend that I met at FTCAP (we talked for an hour). We're both pretty nerdy and he totally cracks me up, so I think we're going to make good friends. I had my English Literature class, which I'm sure will get more interesting soon (although, our discussion was pretty fun). Still not into this Puritan stuff. Gimme some Edgar Allan Poe or Emily Dickenson already!

Then, I went home and stayed there for the night. I'll be in all weekend for my mom's birthday. It's kind of nice just to relax here, although I’m not doing a good job at getting any work done. Ah well, I’ll get everything done – I always do.

  1. Here's Evelyn again stealing Jack's identity....KK you are awesome....you make only children look the most well adjusted of all....I like that. We were in CapeMay and you may have gotten an interesting text from Kate about the road we were on....of course I was out of the loop....

It's sensational that you're having a lively social life and at the same time, shining in class. Who says you can't do everything?

    Much love

    Evelyn
