Day 7 - Thursday, August 26th 2010

Okay, so First Year Experience class may not be as bad here as other places. There are lots of workshops and no exams (AWESOME). We played a little game today where everyone had to say their name and some they liked or was interesting about them. However, each person had to repeat everything about the other people ahead of them. Needless to say, I was thrilled that I was fifth and just needed know stuff about 4 other people – of course, I knew everyone else's anyway. I found a girl whose fact was that she likes to read (yes, I did approach her after class – thankyouverymuch). Surprisingly, only one kid called me Kaitlyn and one kid forgot my name (he did know I liked the performing arts though). Silly jock boy, guess I was too cool for you. See that? People are so astounded by my social prowess they can't even remember my name. Speaking of being supercool, I'm still loving chorus with every fiber of my being. I really am glad to sing again – it's a wonderful feeling. Continuing along with the coolness that is me, while in Honor History today, I discovered that Amish teenagers going through their Rumspringa (their freedom into the “english” world) are approximately 83 times more hardcore than I am. Good to know. And again, I had Calculus. Funtimes with Dr. J all around.

At this point it was 5:00 and I was STARVING. So I asked Krystin to come to dinner with me. She'd already eaten and had a class at 7:00, but joined me anyway. After I got back to the dorm, I did more Calc (that's how much I love it). I then gave up on said Calc and checked in with Krystin to see how her class went. Very boring apparently. Our attempted roommate switch was sadly a failure because Sarah did not want to move. Shit. Oh well, we're only right across the hall. I'm worried more for Krystin's well-being than anything else though. She's really hating this. However, she, Chanice, and I had a good laugh over a proposed kick to the face to work everything out. I'm liking them more every day. I'm going to go read the first chapter of my Chem book now. Early day tomorrow and I get to spend the weekend at home!
