Switched partners at the end of disco today, and by some miracle the guy I ended up with was AMAZING. Ben's good and has the moves down, but he's sort of tentative. This guy (Mike – who's also in my Calc and Chem class, I noticed) was not afraid to lead. It was so fun. The girls had to do this little spinning out thing that I've done about a billion times before between drama club and cabaret. When we did, his comment was “Wow, you're really good at that.” All due to musical theater, my friend. However, all I did was laugh and thank him. We finally did derivatives the shortcut way in Calc today (THANK YOU, DEAR LORD BABY JESUS). I love taking derivatives, it's so easy. Also, anyone who says Dr. J isn't a fair grader on tests and quizzes is a liar. I got a 7.75/8 on last weeks quiz. A quarter of a point? I didn't think we did such tiny deductions for a WRONG ANSWER (though, I did do everything else right). Speaking of, Dr. Bader lied to us – there was no quiz today. His class is canceled on Friday though (due to Ramadan), so that's one less class I need to worry about missing. Finished up with “Usher” and have to read “Young Goodman Brown” for next class. There was a activities fair today too. I signed up for THON and the Science and Engineering club. Sadly, no Society of the Arts/Theater stand to be found. I emailed the man in charge though (and got a very responsive email back, his enthusiasm is contagious). It'll all work out and I CANNOT wait to get started.
I was also informed by another student that the “honors program pre-plan” is due tomorrow and NO ONE TOLD ME. I missed that meeting because of stupid FYE, so now I'm rushing to get everything together and NOT get screwed over by an honors program. I visited the advising offices to talk about it, so I should be okay. But still, you think they'd be a little more helpful and informative about this important kind of shit, right? But in better news, my English Composition credits from Wilkes will transfer. Yay!
Slightly less stressed, I grabbed a sandwich at High Acres and made myself a bowl of mac n cheese (no alarms this time!). Krystin and I then went grocery shopping and had to strategically rearranged the food in the refrigerator and freezer in order to get everything to fit. Luckily, we were successful. Hung out a bit more and watched some TV. All in all, fun night.
